Hi all :)

I have a ROM switch in an A500+ and was wondering if I could use it in an A600. The reason for my question is that the ROM switch has 2 clips that go around the legs of chips in the A500+ but of course with the A600 being surface mount does not have any convenient contact points. Would I have to solder the wires in order to make it work? And if so where abouts?

Thanks in advance.

what do the wires to the other chips do? If you find that out then you might be able to do their job another way, or might not need them at all. Are they involved with switching the roms?

The switcher I use in my a600 is compatible with the A500 and A2000 too.. and is auto switching.

Hello, thanks for the response :)
The wires with the clips on are used to detect when reset is held for 5 seconds. It uses this to switch between the 2 ROMs. I will get a picture sorted later on.
