Hello! I mentioned recently that I was working on a revised version of my A600 and A1200 keyboards. They are now ready and you can see all the details on my very amateur-looking blog!
In brief these use the Gateron KS-33 "banana" low-profile switches and stabilizers. When caps lock is activated the power LED changes color. You do not need the Amiga LED board in either model any more, it is part of the keyboard - or if you prefer the original, just break out that part, it is routed so you can.
For anyone who wants a keyboard for their A600 or A1200, here is where you can order one.
I'm going to make one batch of keyboards to sell here. You can sign up for what you want here, pay in advance, then I order parts for as many keyboards as I need to build. When parts arrive I build and ship them in order of payment. This will take a few weeks. I have a very limited stock of parts right now so the first few will go out quickly, the next batch beginning as soon as ordered parts arrive. Remember I am building and testing these all by hand. When orders are closed it will be stated here.
All keyboards include PCB, mounts, plates, are assembled with Gateron KS-33 "banana" switches, stabilizers, and LEDs, and come with light pipes and cable to plug in to the Amiga. Keycaps are not included. The A1200 keyboard shown on the web page has "wisteria" keycaps which I believe are the same as banana, they are just a special color made for Nuphy. I have tried all the variants and banana seems like the best feel to me, it is like a Cherry MX Brown.
To get keycaps I highly recommend steveed's caps - I use them and am very happy with them. I did once put together my own set by ordering individual keys from Signature Plastics and the cost was probably over US$200 - not recommended.
What are the options?
1. Complete A1200 keyboard to suit original Commodore case: US$125
3. Complete A1200 keyboard to suit A1200.net case: US$125
4. Complete A600 keyboard US$95
Additionally there is ONE A600 keyboard with blue (clicky) key switches US$95 (I had just enough switches for one.)SOLD to Torsti76
Cost of shipping (For 1 keyboard - add roughly 20% each additional) (postage estimates out of date - see below)
Within Australia: US$12
USA: US$25
Europe, UK: US$32
Elsewhere: please ask.
If this isn't for you, just wait until this process is complete. I will no longer be making keyboards and the full set of design files - PCBs, parts list, STL files for 3D printing plates and mounts - for all types - will go on github free, under a CC-BY-SA-NC license.
To order - please declare interest and say what you want, and the quantity. I'll be keeping a spreadsheet and I will get back to you asking for address and payment.
Note about cases: A1200.net for some reason has different side rib locations internally than the Commodore and Escom A1200 cases - the keyboard mounts locate the keyboards vertically using these ribs. That's the only difference. Either will fit the other as long as you print new side mounting rails for the keyboard. The only other difference is that the light pipes for the Escom are 1mm narrower. It is important to say which case you have if you want an A1200 keyboard.
You will get both kinds of 3D printed side rails, so if you want to change your A1200 keyboard to suit the other case you will be able.
Edit: Update on keyboard production
I had one batch of key switches and stabilizers on order, and hope to receive those by the end of the week. I ordered a second batch of key switches on the 30th as there were enough orders to use all of the switches in the first order. I have ordered more than enough PCBs for all orders and should receive those by about Tuesday. I have enough wire for all of the space bar stabilizers and the tooling to make bending those quick and accurate. I am halfway through making 18 A1200 aluminium extrusions, using all the metal I had on hand but I can get that from the local hardware so no delays anticipated. I have completed electronics (connectors, inverter, LEDs, resistors) on all of the PCBs I have on hand. FFC cables, LED cables, plastic rivets, are all ready to go. I have completed printing 16 A1200 plate and mount sets so far, a few more and will begin the A600 sets. The workbench is cleared and evertyhing ready for production as parts arrive.
As keyboards are completed and sent out I will DM each individual and let you know that your order has shipped and provide a tracking number. It is still probably a couple of weeks away at this point though. I'll keep you updated here weekly.
Edit: Keyboards still available. I have more supplies.
Previous Edit: Unless advertised individually there are no more keyboards available from me. Please see these github repositories for all the files you need to make your own PCBs and make your own keyboards...

Happy building!
27 January 2026: I needed to build myself another keyboard and it does not make sense to build only one. There are THREE A1200 keyboards available at this time, ready to ship in roughly three weeks. Cost is US$125 + whatever it takes to ship them to you. As a very rough guide it is about $US50 to ship to Europe. It is impossible to say whether you will have any import duty to pay when it arrives, in Canada they never seem to miss my packages...
It is not possible to ship to the USA without pre-payment of duty - this is US$43.75 and must be paid before the package is sent.
4 February 2026: At this stage I'm assembling five keyboards, it does not make sense to make up all ten if nobody wants them. I am revising the 3D printed design so that one mount works for both A1200.net and Commodore/Escom cases. All is going well, and the big box of switches arrives in two or three days according to Fedex.
(As always you are free to make your own, just use the Gerber and STL files on Github).
