I have been very busy...

Along the way I learned that cleaning rosin from a PCB is much easier if you use a soft pine stick (pop stick) that won't scratch the PCB but will scrape the rosin off, and then clean it with isopropyl alchol, it takes around half the time compared to scrubbing away at huge lumps of rosin. Also I have become quite adept at turning 0805 SMD components upside down using tweezers because they always land the wrong way when they are freed from their roll. I had to order another brush pen that I use for painting flux - I put it standing in the soldering iron holder, then put the iron back in the holder. What's that smell? It's the iron melting through the plastic threads of the pen :(. I could use the flux in it, but could never get it undone to fill with flux again.

This stack of keyboard is almost all I have to send out - perhaps one or two to make. The A1200 keyboards do not have rails fitted yet, but all are complete, cleaned and tested with working LEDs. On little snag I have hit is that I ran out of wrapping paper but Amazon should deliver that in time for me to package up another batch for the post office tomorrow. I have another four packaged and ready to go - I hope people have been receiving tracing information from Australia Post direct, but I am also sending tracking links in DMs.

What's your technique for this btw? I have tried a few things but don't have it down - it's pretty random tbh...

I have a set of black tweezers that have very sharp points and I can grab the part and then over-rotate my wrist to put it down right side up. In the case of a LED I put it down on a shiny surface like a PCB and then push it around to the right orientation before picking it up again and putting it in place.

Because I put them on a silicon mat when they come out of the tape I can press down on one edge and hope to flip the part once but as often as not they flip twice (or just go flying off somewhere).

I drop the parts on to the mat and separate the ones with correct orientation to the side. Then I put my index finger (must not be wet) on the rest of them and lift quickly. Most of them will be lifted but they quickly fall dawn. I move the ones with the correct side up to the other pile and keep repeating this until all of them are done. I find this faster then trying to flip them one by one.

Declaring interest.

Thanks. Yeah I tend to drop them onto the mat from a few cm so ~50% end up the right way, but will try the finger trick next time - I don't think my wrist has enough rotation to do your method (already tried and failed) @Aeberbach

I loving the idea just need to source a case like the a3000 /cd32 keyboard as that what I would use it on and an adaptor as a backup keyboard for the 2000 here hoping :)

A1200 and A600 have no controller on the keyboard, they plug into the mainboard with a 30/31-way ribbon cable. To make keyboards for other Amigas like A500 or A2/3/4000 (and I think CD32 but don't quote me) requires an original Amiga keyboard MPU - very hard to get - or a microcontroller programmed as a substitute. They exist, I just haven't looked into them. Also I only have A1200, A1000 and A600.
