My A600 has been exhibiting a strange issue, after I turned it on about 1-2 minutes later the CPU, Paula and Denise start to get quite hot as if they were being taxed. However, the Amiga is just sitting on the kickstart screen. The CAPS were replaced just under 2 years ago and I am using a new PSU from c64psu.com, it is the model for the US since they do not have a Japanese model. I am little worried as this must be putting a lot of stress on the chips with this heat, but I cannot think what would be causing it.

Is your USA PSU rated for 100vac? What AC cycle are you on 50 or 60 hz?

I remember when I brought my US PS3 to Japan, (I lived in Komaki for a while) my PSU got hot after a month of use and eventually stopped working.

Thankfully, I was well aware of "Hard Off" stores and bought a "dead" PS3 that would only power on, and switched the PSU over. No more issues!

Just a thought.

That is a good point, I have not checked it out. I live in Kanto so it is 50 hz here. I will have a look at the PSU closer.
