Hi

In order to complete my collection, I'm looking for one PAL A500 or A600, 100% working, with desirable expansions:

- External HDD (if A500)
- 4 or 8 MB Fast RAM
- Kickswitch 1.3 - 3.1
- USA or UK layout

Open to offers

Thanks to all

Dear Admins/Mods

It's possible to change the title to: A500 or A600 - Expanded ?

Thanks & Best wishes

Hey Pablo buddy!

If I can help out at all being middle man for somthing in UK let me know, I'd be happy to collect one if it was collection only in the London area and post it to you, I'll also keep a look out for local ads for you as some real bargains here in UK

Would you be interested in my Apollo 620 at all? I did list it on ebay and got a bunch of offers, I didn't want to let it go cheap to some ebay dealer but I'd be pleased to do you a good deal and put the proceeds toward an ACA630 which is what I want to upgrade to.

I'm PM you about prices so we don't get slapped with DaveG's naughty stick :D

Cheers,

Steve.

Hi to all

After my conversation with Steve, I want to change my wanted items as:

- A600 100% working base unit, PAL, UK (or USA?) layout.

I don't know about revisions, but must be compatible with the new ACA630 board.

Dear Admins/Mods, sorry for the inconvenience....:bowdown:

job done. It'll be difficult for someone to know whether it works with the ACA630 without actually trying it, as any A600 may or may not be affected by the micro-cracks that Jens is worried about.

I don't think there have been many failures though, so I wouldn't lose sleep about it

Good luck on your quest. I must admit I think you're right to use the A600 as a base because the built in IDE interface makes things a lot easier... Not sure you'll get a PAL machine with an American keyboard layout, either... ;)

Hi to all,

Thanks to my dear friend fitzseteve I found one A600 base unit.

I will update thread later, but I think is time to change to "found"

Thanks again Steve :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

Best wishes

No problems merlinkv

For the thread, I have bought one from ebay UK that merlinkv picked, he has paid me and I'll post it on after I've tested it with my Apollo/A603/etc to make sure its all up to scratch.

I guess we should keep this thread for feedback since I'm working as middle man?

Will post pics & do a video of it all running once it gets here

Now the waiting game for delivery, paypal receipts have been emailed to merlinkv :)

Steve.

Hi,

You're the winner of an GREAT feedback my friend.

I think this "little" project is completed 100%.......

Awesome news

Will update you once I have the A600 :)

I tested my Indi ECS yesterday, its very impresive.

Hi Pablo!

I have your A600 here :D

The package arrived safe and I've opened everything up.

Its a little dirty so I'm going to give the plastics a clean for you. I managed to open the case carefully without breaking any clips so everything is fine there. It was the first time she was opened up so is immaculate inside.

I'll have to borrow the Rom from my A600 for testing as its 37.299 in here.

Will fit my Apollo 620/A603 and give her a good run tonight and make sure everything is working 100%

Then all being well I can get her shipped to you at the end of the week for delivery next week.

She is slightly yellowed but I think will look much better after a clean, the camera flash here hides that.

Will update later.

Steve.

Hey bud,

Some more info!

Just doing some testing now.

She's booting and running fine with the Apollo installed. Laid down the law on some Silkworm and for the last 15 mins she's been running some State of the Art

Sound is crisp and clear.

I've not tested the PCMCIA port yet as the Apollo is configured for 8mb.

Going out now for a little while and will do further testing later.

(sorry but you can't keep my extra's LOL)

Only little problem I found so far is the '0' key sticks :coffee:

Hey Pablo,

'0' key is fine, there was just some dust under it :D

Going to give the plastics a clean now.

Also ran floppy drive cleaning Disk through, did not test that yet though.

Steve.

Hi Steve.

Is fine for my buddy, some yellowing is not a problem. :)

Pics & tests shows a mobo in mint condition. That's great.

No probs with ROM's I have every chip produced for the A500/A600/A2000 family :)

About the "0" key, is broken? Do you think I need a keyboard replacement?

If possible, keep me updated, please.

A very big THANKSmy friend :bowdown::bowdown:

I very much appreciate your help.

Best wishes

Hey Pablo!

0 Key is fine! It was just a little dirt behind!

Case has cleaned up very nice indeed

Just some dust remains in the vents I need to brush out, keys were quite dusty so you may want to remove and clean individual keys or retr0bright as they are slightly yellowed. Case is actually very white now its clean.

Motherboard looks immaculate :)

I'm really pleased to help you with this

Steve.
