Selling a blue Advent KC550B laptop (aka Uniwill U40SI2) along with charger. It works but selling as spares and repairs due to it's poor condition.... I feel the need to say it's not one of mine as I look after my stuff :p. Selling on behalf of another family member.

Specs:

* Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2330 (1.6GHz)
* 2GB DDR2 RAM
* 120GB Hard Drive
* SIS Mirage 3 Graphics
* 13.3" Screen
* Windows Vista installed
* WiFi
* DVD RW optical drive

Good point:

* It's in 100% full working order :D

Bad points:

* Couple of busted corners (chunks of plastic missing front and rear).
* Hinge covers missing from the lid.
* Cracks along the bottom rear of the case.
* crap AG coating on the screen is coming off (not really noticeable when in use)... This can actually be completely polished out with a bit of elbow grease to make the screen look evenly shiny again ;).
* Rubber feet and rubber screw covers missing (all screws are present at least :p).
* Lid is slightly warped/bent and the bezel is coming apart along the top... It still opens, closes and locks fine.
* Left side of the case can be pulled open (make sure the DVD drive bezel doesn't catch the edge when using it).

Runs fine and could be a good project if you choose to replace the case using spare Advent KC550 or Uniwill U40SI2 parts... Or you could just duct tape it all up :LOL:.

Asking £25 + p&p :cool: - SOLD to eddiemot

I might end up breaking this for parts. If anyone is interested then i'll list the parts and prices individually (RAM, CPU, HDD, DVDRW drive etc...) :cool:

I've just issued a full refund as the laptop has developed a hardware fault that I can't fix (and it's probably not worth fixing anyway). It just randomly started switching off when I tried backing up a load of data to my external USB drive. It now gets stuck in a power cycle loop with a clicking/pinging sound coming from the power phase area of the motherboard... It's basically had it :(.

The HDD, memory and CPU are still good (tested today in my brothers old work horse - a Fujitsu V5535 with easy CPU access :)). The DVDRW drive is also still good.
