You can avoid this part of the circuit by using a RGBTOHDMI...

The VGA output of an Indivision ECS can be connected directly to header SV4 of the GBA1000 rev 4. SV4 was especially added for this purpose and is pin compatible with the Indivision flatcable. To avoid signal collisions, leave out video hybrid IC21 and NEVER insert an Amber when using SV4.

Thanks m0c - didn’t know that. The problem with amber chips is they are as rare as rocking horse droppings so might be the next best thing

Rakeim132, good point - will have a spare hdmi adapter soon as Claude is doing some excellent work in updating the PiStorm to use the Pi Camera input to take a feed from Denise and therefore to output RTG and standard Denise Gfx modes through the single hdmi out on the Pi3a+.
