Amiga 1200 IDE CD ROM drive

Yeah it's a weird one isn't it? Could well be just the drive, I did see someone with a similar problem on another thread on the EAB board. I'll see if I can track another drive down to see if that solves the problem. I do quite like the idea of making it internal too with a mini one if I can just work out how to get the audio out of it.

Thanks very much for your help thus far all, it's a slow burner but I'm sure I'll get there in the end. It is possible after all and it's retro old tech isn't it so some issues are expected!

That's great Miggymad, thankyou! I wonder if a buffered interface like she uses would be the solution? I wasn't planning digging holes in my case, I'd rather use the external, especially so I can get the audio out.
