Hi all,
For sale is an original Amiga 1200 case. This is an Escom-era case which used a different formulation to Commodore-produced cases that better resists yellowing - as a result this case is still in great condition with no yellowing. There's no bumps or scrapes on it either.
A previous owner of this case (not me) appears to have slightly modified it by making a gap on the rear of the case. This would allow an IDE ribbon cable and a power cable to fit through - most likely this was so that a CD-ROM drive could be connected outside the case. This mod has been done very well, very neat and tidy.
I've also added a CompactFlash slot to the rear trapdoor slot, so that a CompactFlash card can be used as an IDE drive, and the CF card be easily removed and replaced without having to open the case. The original trapdoor cover is also included.
Included is an original LED board, and brand new case and motherboard mounting screws.
Asking for 75 GBP (price reduced again 9/1/24 - was 100 GBP)(price reduced 7/10/23 - was 150 GBP)
Postage in the UK by Parcelforce will be 10 GBP. Other carriers can be used on request. I am willing to ship internationally - when expressing interest let me know your country for a postage cost.
Payment by PayPal F+F
I also have some optional extras which may help you complete your Amiga that you can add to the sale - these are:
Hard drive mount - 5 GBP
Floppy drive power cable - 2 GBP
3-way power cable - connects A1200, floppy drive and a HDD/CD-ROM - 2 GBP
4GB CF card - 5 GBP
SD-CF card adapter - plug an SD card into a CF slot (note that it's a bit of a tight fit) - 5 GBP
USB CF card reader - 5 GBP
At the moment I'm only considering selling these extra items with the case, so please do not express interest on the optional items without the case.
Edit: Price reduction - was asking for 150 GBP, now asking for 100 GBP
