I have seen the list. This is IMPRESSIVE. I genuinely do not think there has been anything like that before. Where do I apply as a sponsor? I will be there. \o/

The list is about to get bigger.. We will start revealing more info soon! Just be sure you block your calendar!

Were you someone, like me, anxiously waiting for the new Amiga Format or CU Amiga to hit the shelves? Apart from sniffing through the ads, game reviews and letterbags there was a column that really had my attention. It was the news, and one name that comes to mind is our first confirmed speaker and guest. This man needs no introduction (but I'll give one anyway), it's none other than David Pleasance. Former joint Managing Director of Commodore UK Ltd. Some might know him from the excellent Amiga packs sold in the UK. This man was responsible for creating one of the largest Amiga markets worldwide, the UK. But there's more, he was also the mastermind for the planned management buy-out when Commodore folded. Hear him talk about the rise, and fall. What went on, how come Escom went home with the prize. Or, if you want, just ask him to sign your A600 The Wild, The Weird and The Wicked pack!
(I know I will!)

This sounds truly amazing - an event for the ages. I hope there'll be ample documentation for those of us who unfortunately won't be able to attend? ;)

Remember the UltimatePPC? Nay-sayers said is was dead, some even said is was vapour. Now, come to Amiga: 30 Years and be proven wrong. Talk to the developers, look at the card, touch it, smell it. It's real and it's there. Find out about the status, how far they have come, what the plans are and what has changed and why. It doesn't get more real than this!

It's not official, but I heard they are working on a livestream as well.
And there will be plenty of camera's doing it's work including my GoPro and you can be assured that photo's will be taken.

Location will be targeted in an area around schiphol airport at the max 30 min away, so you will have no problem flying in and getting there.

30 Years Amiga also means lots of 3.5" diskettes out there, filled with all the hard work creating technical masterpieces. However, 30 Years is a long time, and some of you might have moved on by now. Wouldn't it be nice if you could still transfer those digital treasures to disk images and use them in Emulators? Able to read and write Amiga disks on your PC, MAC or Next Gen Amiga? One great solution is to use a KryoFlux (www.kryoflux.com). At the Amiga: 30 Years event the KryoFlux team will offer a complimentary disk dumping service for attendees. Bring your disks and have them transferred the most reliable way: using KryoFlux. At no costs what so ever*! Make sure your data is well protected for the next 30 years! They will also be able to tell you more about the technology behind it, show the workings and offer them for sale at specially reduced prices! You can even shake hands with one of the men responsible for X-Copy, you know, the burn-in screen used at Amiga gatherings all through the 80's and 90's!
*please respect that Team KryoFlux will transfer as much as possible for everyone, but also wants to give everyone a chance to transfer their data.

Very good news! I always said that's a great project, certainly the greatest for the A4000... and I want one! I hope to see it in real into my A4000 very soon!
Thanks a lot Tahoe for the information!

Sounds like fun and Schiphol is just a short hop from Leeds-Bradford airport.

...and Robin hood airport. Just around the corner from my housey!

It'll probably take me longer to get there than the ones hopping in from the UK by plane, but that won't stop me :P

We already told you that this is THE event to go to this year, here we have one more reason. This man needs no introduction, but again we will give you one. Started at Commodore to work on the Commodore TED project (plus4/C16), when Commodore took over Amiga his first Amiga work was the cost-reduced version of the Amiga 2000. He designed the A2620/A2630 cards and then moved on to help design the most elegant of Amiga machines: The Amiga 3000. The Zorro-III specifications were drawn up by him. His name is silkscreened on mainboards of hundreds of thousand Amiga's! Working for Commodore till the bitter end, filming the Deathbed Vigil video, he is now ready to talk to every guest at Amiga:30 Years! As everybody might have guessed by now, our second confirmed speaker is Dave Haynie! Bring along your favourite Amiga, and have it signed! This might be the only chance to meet him this side of the pond, so do not delay and start booking your trip!
