I would like to share with you my recent project. After creating a few custom cases (A500, A600, A2000 and A4000) the time came to turn my attention to the Amiga 3000.
I know that the Amiga 3000 is widely considered to be the most beautiful model, so please be gentle with feedback. Purpose of my project is to provide reliable, practical and sturdy solution for those without a case.
I would like to thank:
Sébastien Godbille for encouragement and support,
John Hertell for help with acquiring dead A3000 motherboard,
Francis Bernier for providing a replica daughterboard,
Hese for providing dimensions for FireBird.

Instead of writing a long description I have annotated the attached images. Please have a good look.
Price of this case will be in region of 350GBP (painted, bare case with brackets and most screws) (FDD extension hub, DB9 and DIN5 extensions are optional at extra cost) plus packaging and postage (and possible customs charges).
I know that the price is intimidating, but please understand that this is not mass produced. I do it in my spare time and I can produce 1-2 pieces per month.

That looks fantastic my friend... A real work of art!

If it wasnt so far away from me I would love to get one of these! Very nice!!!

Your case designs are a work of art, they are so beautiful. I was wondering have you or planned to do a 4000T case?

Could you make this in black and with just plain air vents and none of the custom designs? Regarding a 3000 PSU I enquired about, I’ve bought an ATX which I assume will fit? Thanks

I am sorry but I am not going to change design. No , I can't do this black, if you want you can do this yourself.
Full ATX won't fit. Some SFX may fit. I strongly suggest to get from me or eBay FSP250-50GUF. I only provide mounting kit for that PSU.

I thought that I am replying to different post.
Only SFX PSU fit that case.
I am working slowly to change this design and it will be powder coated black I think.

I corrected my previous reply. For my custom made case you need SFX PSU. PSU from link you attached is for my A3000D PSU enclosure kit.

Just out of interest, would there be a cost reduction if I didn’t have the top cover? I was thinking of having it displayed as mine will be all black as I’m building a black A3000

First. Are you still interested in A3000D PSU enclosure kit? Please reply to P.M.

I have to order it as a set (top and bottom part).
I will do "plain" top and bottom but with vent holes, I am not going to produce sealed box as Commodore done.
NO SLOT for slim CD-ROM (too many issues).
Once I am ready I will open sale post.
I will try to keep price in same range as my A4000D case.
Please have a look at renders.

I will be interested in 1 or even 2 of the black 3000 cases. 1 for ReA3000 board, and the other for AA3000+ board. I just dont like losing a DB slot with putting the 3000 boards in Checkmate cases.

Can you create a 3D spline in the CAD program you are using that on one end is tangent to the middle ATX pin centerline on the PSU, and on the other end is tangent to the motherboard power plug pin centerline and measure the arc length of the spline? This is for length of custom modular power supply ATX to 3000 adapter wiring length.

I am away until Sunday late afternoon. I will try to do this after my return.
I understand that A3000D can work with simple cable loom when TICK is set to internal (what with -5V?). Is not critical?
Please check Google folder, there is place for ATX power adapter with TICK generator.

I like this case, I may be able to buy one in a couple months like in May or June unless that is too soon, 2 fdd's and a cd/dvd drive, a standard cd/dvd drive would be better, I'd rather have the cd/dvd drive than not have it, the extensions and the tick board are ok, the paula stuff up front is a no no, deep six that please, beige or silver or black is ok, I have a silver ps/2 HP keyboard. With a standard drive bay for a cd/dvd drive I could install a IDE cd/dvd drive, even if the faceplates are black or beige, my Creative drive is ide CD-4833E(I bought it as working) or an ide Teac CD-524EA(corrosion behind faceplate seen & yellowed, unknown as to working), I do have some cd/dvd ide drives in black, I know they are cd, but I'd have to see if any are cd/dvd for sure as they're in a cardboard box that I use to store them in.

I looked at your 4000D case, it's too bad it can't also be a 3000D case without a redesign, I like it better than this one.
