The HomeComputerMuseum is an interactive computermuseum located in Helmond in the Netherlands. We have around 300 computers hands-on on display and another few hundred in storage and boxes. It's our mission to preserve and share the history of the home computer for and with current and future generations.
We nearly have all Amiga's but are missing the A3000T and D and are really looking out for one. It can be broken, it can be working and if you don't want to sell, we also offer to lend it so you'll stay as owner (but then it's in a museum and we'll make an agreement what we can and can't do with the machine).
And no, we don't have an actual A4000T (yet). We have one A4000D built in a Mikronik tower so that's something.
We're looking for one for about 3 years now and when someone puts it online, it will go very fast for a very high price. Since we are in no way subsidized nor have sponsors and do have to pay rent for our 1090m2 building, we don't have a lot of money however we have some.
Few of our rare or very rare items (to give you an idea where the Amiga will be sitting)
- 4 (!) SGI Indigo2 R10000 which were used to create the open source program Blender
- Amiga 4000 used for Titanic (yes, we have it)
- Amiga 2500UX used by NASA (again, yes.. that's in our museum)
- Acorn System 1 (one of the few remaining and fully operational)
- Sinclair MK14 (original)
- Tulip System 1 complete (incl HDD/FDD)
- 3x Exidy Sorcerer with S100 expansion
- Atari Falcon 030
- 2x Apple III with working Profiler
- Prototype wireless PS2-controller
- 2x DAI (Belgium)
- World's largest and only complete CDi-collection (all software ever released on original CDi)
- list goes on ....
So, if you want your A3000(D/T) in a real existing museum that you can visit 5 days a week (actually, 7 days a week but we use 2 days to work on the museum) and you want to either sell it or lend it out, please let me know.
