I decided to sell my A4000 040. It has a 300MB+ HD, a MacroSystem V-Lab Y/C (I think) and a GVP A2000 HC+8 Series 2 Series II rev II in it. With +/- 16MB RAM. And monitor.

I'll throw in a 3.1 kickstart which I never got around installing (and thus testing) and a IDE card reader with 4MB RAM. Incl mouse.

If you have questions or want to buy the 4000, PM me. I'm located in The Netherlands.

PS I removed the battery several years ago.

I'm offering it on a local Dutch site and Amiga.org in the marketplace. Price: €700,- excl shipping/packaging cost. This can be quite an amount espacially if you're overseas (eg US, Canada) If you are serious I can dive into the system and check which rev. it is. I'd rather not at this moment because of the fact that want to prevent any tampering.

And please introduce yourself!
As you can see on the picture, the leaking battery has done its work and there is a lot of green around the battery area!
Are the caps new?

I'm from the Netherlands and used Amigas a lot in my teenyears. First an 500. Later an A2000 with HD. When the CD32 was introduced I bought one and played a lot on it. In my twenties I got this A4000. The pas years I never used it so I finally decided to sell it. Next to the 4000 I still have two A500s and a A2000. I sold my CD32 a few weeks ago.

You're right about the leakage. Looking better at the pictures and the board made me realise that more damage has been done than I thought. Thanks for pointing it out. It has not been recapped. I read that citric accid can clear the leakage. I think I also saw an article on this forum from a Danish guy offering some repairs on boards, among replacing the capacitors. Maybe it's wise to recap the board first. How does one know if it's needed? (sound problems?)

PS I see now that this topic is in the wrong part of the board. If an admin could move it? Thanks!
