Amiga 4000 Hard drive migration to PC

I'm about to connect my old Amiga 4000/40 260MB IDE Hard Drive to my PC via a USB to IDE adaptor and see if I can transfer all my old data to the PC via WinUAE. Is there anything I should be aware of before trying this?

I managed to copy it all over and can see the data but I've yet to get it to boot from the copied DH0:

With UAE you would boot it as a "folder". Don't modify anything in it.

Try your best to mimic the exact configuration of your Amiga, save it as a preset in case you need to modify it.

I recommend making at least one backup of your copied Amiga folder, and keep it safely away from your live UAE system, in case your original (or new) HDD fails.
