Hi
I have Amiga 4000 motherboard rev D CR with on bored 68030 and 68882 FPU. I also have 2 Accelerator cards GVP 68060 And warp Engine 68040.
When I got Accelerator card in it works great and I can do everything i want to do, apart from playing floppy games, as most games don't like fast CPU and fast ram, but on both of these cards there are jumpers where you can disable Accelerator card and got back to basic motherboard Config but when i set the jumper on both cards the accelerator is still active and i need it disabled,
Both jumpers on A4000 motherboard are set internal for both on bored CPU needs this set to internal and both accelerators cards also set to internal too. but still no luck.

ON GVP
JP1CPU Select
ON=68060
OFF = Motherboard Processor

On warp Engine
JP2:

A: Mode Select (Off: 68040 enabled, On: 68040 disabled)

Why can't the on bored CPU take back over?
if anyone has done this can you help?

As soon as you plug something on CPU socket I doubt it can roll back to onboard CPU at all. Like some A500 expansion for example once you connect they're is no rollback even if you disable the device

I see, Shame As i Got really good setup of my Amiga 4000, just wanted to able to go back to basic config so i can play floppy games.

See if you get anymore responses but it might be the case, I'm trying to keep an Amiga without too much upgrades for other games but I don't even use floppys these days so it's my CD32 with TF330.

With A 1200 if you connected Accelerator card (blizzard) to trap door slot you can disable it by holding number 2 down while resetting Amiga which goes back to basic mother board config then.

Yeah the Blizzard disable key was great, maybe a circuit that closes off connections. Not many cards offer such a feature
