I know the 1200 will run off of the 500 power supply. There are few Amiga 500 supplies in America for sale. My question is - Can I take a Europe type 220v Amiga 500 supply apart and wire it for 120v? I am an electrican so I am not afraid.

Thanks!

Very VERY good question. Sorry I cannot answer it but may I ask why you would want to endure the cost of posting such a heavy item to America if there are PSU's there to be had anyway?

Hi. Yes if the Amiga 500 power supply is the heavy editon with transformer inside, you can change the transformer with one 110 volt edition, or if already have a wire jumper up to transformer 220-110volt, just to change the wire.

In the light edition s.m.p.s, is very dificult, unless its universal for Usa-Europe. If someone have schematics from that, we can see!
