Amiga 500 CDTV CD1000

Hello people,

As the tittle already shows I got an Amiga 500 CDTV CD32 system. I was wondering what I can do with this Amiga since all new kind of upgrades are available for Amiga's.

Perhaps anyone else has got the same type and modified it?

I think you need to be a bit more specific. You have listed 3 Amiga machines in one title there as if its one machine. Did you get an Amiga 500 computer? or Commodore CDTV Multimedia system? or Amiga CD32 Games Console? or all of them?

If he has a CD1000 as the title (not the body of the text) says, I'm guessing he's asking about CDTV mods.
But, I could be completely wrong as it is quite confusing...

Hello people,

...but the tittle (love this) lists a CD1000, not a CD32

For the CD32 I'd go for one of the SX's to make it a proper computer. The FMV unit is nice too.

For the CDTV, I think you can fit a CF card inside it as a harddrive, that and some extra memory should make it very great!

For the A500 (and all of them really), get the fastest accelerator you can find (not sure if you'll find one for the CDTV or CD32, but A1200 accelerators may be compatible with the SXs) with as much memory as you can find (probably 8mb - I'm not a A500 expert). Install a CF card hd (they are quick and quiet) and possibly a flicker fixer too to display steady images
