A good friend of mine had this in his bedroom cupboard for probably 25+ years. He told me that he is ready to part from it and move on.. so he asked me to make some images and sell it for him.

The Amiga 500 is the early revision with the embossed Commodore Logo and the so called “Chicken Lips” Commodore key where others have the Amiga “A” logo.

I made some images to capture the condition which is in my humble opinion and based on experience in a very good condition. The drive works without any issues. Sound is crystal clear. Picture quality is also outstanding. The mouse also looks new. The power unit is the heavy one as well.

Yellowing.. not on this one.. all mint and creme coloured like it should.

Floppies and books he did not have. Books were also no longer in his possession.

PayPal friends and family payment is OK.. otherwise add 3,4% on PayPal fees if you like to add buyers protection. Shipping costs are not included, but can be requested. Generally speaking it would be under GBP 20 for most of Europe.. Germany and The Netherlands it would be under GBP 10

Asking price is GBP 150

Semi off topic, but what is a chicken lips Amiga? Are all a500 with the embossed logo this type? Or all red led type? What is special about it?

Chicken lips refers to the "C=" of Commodore, which was their logo. The sign next to the "C" is what should resemble kind of a chicken beak. :D

As MannaTheBerserk (Talk about a creative name.. holy crap!!) correctly stated.. the Commodore logo looks like a Chickens Head with them lips sticking out.. sort of.. the first generation had embossed logos, followed by the second generation where they cut costs.. logo on the case was a two-cent sticker.. cheaper type keyboard.. cheaper/different plastics also due to regulations regarding fire hazards (yellowing faster also because of that) and then.. they saved costs by often wack in a 1.2 and a RED powerled anyhow.. I have a sealed A500 which is Kickstart 1.2.. Red Led (all the trades of a first generation) but the newer keyboard and casing.. so consistency was back in those days not too common.. not a commodore thing.. they all did that really.
