AMIGA 500 New Cases Indiegogo... Sigh

Hi All,

Is it just me or does it seem a bit much to ask 150K to make new cases (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/new-compatible-case-for-amiga-500-plus-computers/)? I love my, three, 1200 one's... but this time... with only four days left... I'm really thinking this may not happen.

Switching the platform, from Kickstarter, was a bit questionable as most people haven't even heard of Indigogo. I know it is huge, but it is not connected with 'new Amiga cases'.

The first, 1200, kickstarter should have been used to offset the cost a bit. Why so much?

Finally, I signed up on the 1200 webpage mailing list, way before this crowdfunding - 4 times!, and have not gotten an email about the 500 cases.

I love the project and will be paying for a few in the next few days... but it is seeming pointless.

Give me hope again!

I forgot to add, If it fails will it be posted again? If this was a "test of the waters" it changes some of my questions.

The fact that the funds are immediately taken with indiego go as opposed to when the campaign ends like with kickstarter means I will be contributing on the final day, I wouldn't be surprised if you see a big push because of that.

Ok Im stuck, dunno what colour to get. Thinking of getting 2 A500 cases, dunno if I should get 2x Original Colour or (1x original colour and 1x White Colour) Im a traditionalist, its hard for me to imagine a amiga 500 other than beige.

What colours are everyone else selecting ?

I want Green, Translucent, Orange and Purple. Why? No idea... I want a multi color amiga collection.

Now thats dedication.. You missed the Pink! I dont think I can go beyond beige or white.. I was thinking about Black, but then it would turn it into the Darth Vader of Evil Amigas for me.

I have the 1200 in red, it is just a bit out of my color pref...



Still working on it... and hope to add some new keys to it. I am making a rainbow amiga by transplanting these keys.



When I get the design finished. Making some new Amiga plungers for cherry MX keycaps. Sadly did not think to buy some with my 1200... so I am working on my own design. Unless the ones he makes go up again sometime soon.

What colours are everyone else selecting ?

I took one Vampire case, so that one is obviously black. Then I also backed for two regular cases and one of them will probably be the original beige color. For the last one I have not decided yet. Something other than beige or black though.
I have a translucent C64 as well as A1200, so might also go for a translucent A500..
