First of all - i'm linux Nerd and familiar with Linux-CLI - never was with AMIGA (See my introduction-Thread for more Infos)

i in general have right now just some idea how it worked those days (was 2 young) and zero experience - just started to dig out my AMIGA from childhood-days (its in pretty good shape)

-> What i have/want 2 use:

AMIGA 500 + 512 MemExtension + internal GOTEK USB (ordered) + external 3,5" FDD + 135 MB HDD via ZORRO-BUS
Raspberry PI Zero (as "Router" [or whatever it needs] + "File-Server" [NFS/CIFS-Mounts from my Server])
RS 232 - Serial-Stuff 2 connect AMIGA + RASPBERRY PI ZERO
Original 1.3 Rom and compatible WB

It should stay "as original as possible" ...

-> What i dont want 2 use:

Amiga Explorer (Windows Only) [anything which depends on Windows]

My Questions:

- What is the "BestPractice" 2 share Files and ADF-Images from/to Amiga via RS232 with the given wants/don't wants?

I want 2 use the Amiga-HDD to store/load Data from

- Is there anything like FTP Client for Amiga which works on WB/ROM 1.3?

- Is there Anything like "Norton-Commander"-a like FileManager?

- Are other Roms/Romswitcher optional, recommended, required for this purposes?

Thanx in Advance for any hints. I try 2 understand whats best, not searching just for the simplesolution.

Will share my suxess/progress.

It seems that atm the eab is facing some issues.
I would suggest to try again later.

You can grab the Hombre package also from Turran's FTP
Just search for hombre_v1.01

Thx for the Hint - i was available 2 find and download it there and would have a closer look those days

unfortunatly i would have almost no time within the week cuz of work

There is no rush. Its a hobby after all! :giggle:
As i am a nerd/digital native my hobby is also my business somehow ;)

i allready got the permission 2 use our server-ressources for my private amiga-projects for free and started https://amiga.free-it.cc (where i would also document my progress for this question and would also mirror the archive)

It's just a matter of (free)time ;)

Very nice of you to document your findings and create a wiki with useful information and guides for other Amiga users. Looking forward to reading your adventures in the Amiga world!
