Hi!

Another one of my projects up for sale today!

This is my spare A600 I've decided to part with, it's a good reliable system which was used recently at Retr0 Revival and was flawless all weekend!

It's been upgraded with an extra 1mb Chip Ram taking it to the maximum 2mb Chip Ram. It also has an 8mb Fast Ram expansion making it an ideal WHDLoad machine with a small footprint.

I've installed a 4gb CFHDD, this will come pre installed with Classic Workbench (you can choose the 1.3 theme shown or the standard Classic Workbench look.) The CF is housed in an angled CF-IDE adapter to give a nice tidy finish.

Sadly I cannot include the 3.1 Rom shown as it's not genuine so I will replace it with 2.0 Roms (version 37,300) which is fully compatible with the CF HDD.

The top case and keys have been Retr0brighted but not the bottom so there is a slight difference in colour, I will take some more pics to show this when time allows.

I'm asking £100 + P&P and will include a Mouse, Joystick and PSU along with WB2.05 Disks & A600 Promotional Software Pack (titles TBC)

I never seen a 1MB RAM expansion like that. Looks like videocard memory chips. Did you build that yourself?

Received the package on Wednesday (4th of Sep). The whole family suffered from rota virus and I wasn't able to test it earlier.

Everything was nicely and securely packed, though the transportation seemed to be rough. When I opened it, the left side of the keyboard was deepened. Lucky, clips were not injured, it only needed reseating. Though, it scared the sh*t out of me at first. :)

I am having some problems with it. The composite video output is very bad - the vertical line is unstable (keeps rolling) and screen flickers. Also, both audio outputs produce a buzz. Interestingly, the buzz starts whenever I connect the PSU to the unit (switch on PSU can be off). I suspect the PSU is the root cause of this all. Since I don't own any other Amiga, I have to wait until tomorrow to borrow one. I will also borrow DB23 video cable and see if it makes a difference.

Nevertheless, I ran some some WHDLoad games and demos, and they worked. This means CF works. Also, both memory expansions work. Motherboard also looks nicely preserved.

Hi boomer,

Sorry to hear that, hope you feel better.

It will be too late to claim from insurance now for any damage as it mist be notified in 48 hours.

I have a spare psu I can send you however, I will send it by airmail tomorrow.

Unless you want to return it for a refund.

All the best,

Steve.

Hey Steve,

I feel much better and lighter (lost 9 kg), thanks. :)

Don't send anything until I do some tests first. Also, no way I am gonna part from my A600, so you can forget about refund. :) I will make it work, it looks too nice not to work.

As detailed over PM, video signal is ok, sound is better but still occasionally "clicks". Seems a recap is in order.

Anyway, I am satisfied with the merchandise. You can close the thread. I'll leave feedback now.

Thanks I'll return feedback.

As promised I'll send you a replacement PSU, It's a Euro PSU originally for an A1200 but will probably be better for you as it has 2 pin plug.

I hope it helps
