Hi,
I've ordered an external IDE DVD drive (so no turning back there) but when fitting my Furia to the a600 found the larger IDE port on the KA60 IDE adaptor, is flush against the heat sink of the Furia - not an issue currently as is - but when I try to fit the larger IDE cable to the DVD drive, it's going to be an issue.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Basically I just want to run my SD adaptor and IDE DVD drive. My PCMCIA is used for an EasyNet modem.
In a perfect world I could do with the larger IDE socket on the KA60 being on the top edge of it facing vertically.
Not sure if I can take the smaller IDE port on the KA60 that serves the SD adaptor and run 2 devices off it using some sort of smaller to larger IDE adaptor cable on a 2 into 1 smaller IDE cable... daisy chain etc. Power issues?
Thanks in advance, - Imaged attached (if I've done it right!)
Ady.
