This is a fully refurbished Amiga A1200 in a uniquely damaged case that had a security lock on the left side. The system has been professionally (retired physician) recapped, the RF module removed, timing fixes applied, and thoroughly tested to ensure reliable operation—see photos for details.
TL;DR Background:
This particular A1200 was previously owned by a TV station that operated a "Video Toaster" setup. The Amiga was used for text, graphics, and various tasks that didn’t involve their main Video Toaster system. To prevent unauthorized theft, the unit was secured with a cable lock. Over time, this machine changed hands multiple times, sliding some grease along the palms of the owners.
When I acquired it, the motherboard required repair, so I replaced the motherboard with a PAL version, along with the floppy drive (and all capacitors) to restore full functionality. The system is now in excellent working order and ready for use.
