Incredible! Bet they used the horizontal & vertical sync pulses plus the composite output for the images.

Very nice.

@rkauer, you can recreate the sync pulses from the composite signal with simple filters and use them to trigger ramp generators for the raster. Lab project for all 3rd students at universty was very similar to this, except we had a composite signal of the cartoon network instead, and no sound.
