I've been running Linux Mint for a long while on my intel macbook.

Recently I've been tinkering with the Icaros live cd. Thing is when I install to hd choosing the erase all option, it doesn't boot.

After about 10 attempts I'm giving up.

Is there another Aos type linux I can try?

The latest one. 2.03 I think. I'm in the tattoo shop right now but I'll check later.

Icaros installs fine but just doesn't boot. I really want to use it too.

In the meantime I've installed the debian/kubuntu - based Black Lab Linux. It works but it's a bit boring, tbh.

One thing that you could try is to go ahead and install icaros but leave enough room for a second distro and don't bother trying to install Grub. Now install your second distro, which will need to be using Grub2, and let it pick up the icaros partition while it is creating the config file for itself. Worth a shot.

And go ahead and post your grub.cfg file here.
