I don't know if there's an official list somewhere of all Amiga mice ever made. I cleaned mine a bit today and took some photos, they span 5 different "official" designs. Post photos & info of other versions, complete the descriptions and correct mistakes/inaccuracies

Photos 1 & 2: Early version A500/A2000 "tank" mouse, apparently made in Hong-Kong only. I think the same design was used for the A1000, just with the L-shaped plug. Internally it has metallic leafs instead of microswitches for the buttons.

Photos 3 & 4: Later version of the "tank" mouse, apparently made in Malaysia only. US-versions seem to have a ferrite bead near the plug. A whiter version came with earlier batches of A600 and A1200.

Photos 5 & 6: First "white" version, found in A4000Ds.

Photos 7 & 8: Common (at least I think that's the one that comes up most of the time) A1200 "white" mouse, also used in later A600s. Apparently this one circulated by both C= and AT.

Photos 9 & 10: AT-only design. Was it bundled with a specific system (A4000T comes to mind) or was it meant as a standalone mouse replacement? A black version also exists.

1352 is a C64 mouse, IIRC.

First white version is the one bundled with C= A4000 "D".

Curved-shape mouse is AT only, and might be used as an "upgrade" back in that era. I bought a black unit that works perfectly even today. I also have the white version and it is utterly crap.

BTW: you forgot entirely about the hunchback "pregnant" mouse bundled in the A3000(T): three buttons when A3000UX, two buttons when it's a normal A3000.

Cheers mate, I've updated the info.
Yes I forgot the A3000UX three button mouse, lol. But I don't think I had ever even seen a photo of it
I thought that regular A3000Ds came with the standard tank mouse though, I still remember an A3000D review cursing the mouse
No idea on black CDTV-specific mice too.

I have got both CDTV mice, the regular black one and the wireless (infra-red) one if you need photos of 'em. :)

White tank mouse were used both in A600 & C= A1200 units.

Latest units (for both A600 & A1200 uses the white rounded with uneven buttons).

I think someone in C= simply catches the next mouse box to bundle the Amiga boxes, lol.

Here's the 2-button pregnant one..

Here are the two CDTV-specific mice.

Photos 1 & 2: Wired-model, CD-1253.

Photos 3 & 4: Wireless (infra-red) model, CD-1252.

Apparently the wired one is just a black version of the common A1200 white mouse (with a suitable plug).
The wireless one utilises the existing infrared receiver of the CDTV I assume.

Hi guys,

this doesn't seem to be a review of these mice, is it supposed to be a review?

cheers, Justin

Nope, it's more like a listing, I wasn't sure if it would fit better here or in the Photo Booth. Maybe it should be moved there, indeed.
