He mentions a banding fix for vertical lines that appear on some LCD displays when connected via RGB and that his fix in the cable also disables Genlock ability.
Does anyone have any details on this fix and what exactly is being done?
I'm assuming it's todo with Pin 15 Clock out or one of the other Genlock related pins. Maybe something being grounded?
Reason I ask is because I have always felt the RGB output on the Amiga 600 and 1200 to be inferior to the A500 and I'd like to improve it. And if losing genlock ability via a simple mod to one of my existing RGB cables is all it takes, I am totally ok with that.
Edit: And to clarify, I'm referring to RGB out to Scart rather than RGB to VGA as I know those adapters you some sync strippers or buffers to improve quality.
