Heya,

I'm looking to put my Amiga on one of these very long so-called 'game-mats'. Does anyone make any Amiga themed ones? I've seen them for standard-sized mouse pads, but not the extra long things. I'd rather not go to the effort of designing something that then turns out crap because of poor communication with a Chinese manufacturer on eBay.

For those who are unaware, this is the kind of thing i'm after - but of course with the Amiga theme/design:

Cheers.

Cool idea...thanks for sharing the non Amiga version at least. Hope someone comes up with something with Amiga theme...would be nice :)

Yeah, i'm hoping one of the entrepreneurs we see on this site, someone with design skills, takes up the challenge. As mentioned, i'd rather buy something from someone who loves the gear and puts skill into it than to mess it up getting something shoddy done myself. An artist i am not :)

OMG how cool would it be with some Psygnosis artwork on it :wooha: Not sure how allowable it'd be.

If you email the people that do the mats in the link. They are quite happy to print whatever you like on them for an extra $5AUS.

I was about to suggest the same. Companies make these and will print your own design on them.

The one I like the most at the moment and keep seeing is a black and white wire frame world map. That looks quite cool.

I know you can just get them to slap on a picture, but it's not like VistaPrint where you can position images and crop them and whatnot and see it before you order it (and i checked VistaPrint they only have normal size). I reckon it'd be very hit and miss unless you just wanted something simple like the 'tick' or 'guru meditation' in the bottom left hand corner.

I'm a bit anally retentive; mild ocd-type thing.

I've just ordered a plain black one for now.

I've dealt with a lot of print agencies over the years and as long as you talk to them and ask how they want images provided, including dimensions, file formats, resolution etc the results are normally good.

Normal way to provide them is an Adobe Illustrator file with linked images in Photoshop format or jpg. With illustrator you can setup the print specifications really accurately with crop marks and blead indicated.
