okay I've thrown together a quick demo for the amimeet this weekend, i will extended considerably with both animation and music and maybe photos of some of the attendees too and stick a few amibay logos in for good measure.

what do you think so far ?

Notes:
animations are not mine but from various places on the web. if i get time and make a decent job of it , i will include some of my anims.

the demo is a bit longer now with plenty of stuff in it, bit of video and pics of us lot . i'll post it later tonight :-)

if its pants please say so :-) saves me spending hours on it when i could be playing doom or COD.

:-)

Wow, never played with Scala...

It's very much like Amiga vision but slightly more modern and has more support for file formats.

Although it is good as a kiosk operating software (or as a coffee making machine :D ) it works great for overlaying titles on to video

Contains an Arexx port as well as being able to control things through the serial port :)

Does it ? You mean I could fulfill my destiny by making an led light up on a computer port by using software ...

Damn this is good. Need a manual

You don't need to load music within the demo.

You can get Scala through an appropriate Arexx port to a CD player to start playing a CD track - as well as other stuff

Even DPaint can be used for video titling http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZyNt6wm9mE

I never did the video thing on the Amiga. Infact I only did editing and such on modern day macs , I tried on the pc years ago but it was awful

My next project is avi to anim5 and then stop motion video to anim5 and of course animation in Dpaint and eventually 3d models and maybe raytracing.

I always want to create the stars wars / sci fi space ship fly by on the Amiga but wether I ever do is something else.

Thanks John, bit basic I know but I'll try to jazz it up a bit :-)

I've got to admit that I do all my editing on a :censored: PC  The shame of it.

Still a long way from pause and record with the BBC B doing my titles when I first started.

Then the Miggy with overlaying titles etc to start with and prior to the Casablanca using a Miggy program to write and read timecode on SVHS tapes and using an editing script to create the finished video.

Oh nooo not on the pc!

My very first was with a c64 to a video recorder. I made introductions to music vids that were recorded from late night tv... Mid 80s I think

i like that :-)

yes i would be very happy to use that if i may, was their a download link?

mike.

Thanks Mike, sure you can use it :) here is the direct download link from my site. It`s just in MP3 format at the moment as I won`t get a chance to a mod version until I get back to the UK and pick up my miggy :)

I used a tracker prog on the Mac, renoise, just need to reduce it down to 4 tracks and export it as a mod ?

@mj

Can you burn it to a CD and then use Scala to play the CD?
