Another stupid question from me

I have an external dvd drive and an external floppy drive.

Is it safe to stack the floppy drive on top of the dvd drive ?

I remember putting a spare dvd drive on top of my scanner after an upgrade long ago and it blanked the chips in it when I was scanning some old photo's.

Yes, they'd get stacked in a pc case, so don't see why it would hurt outside of a case

yeah i was thinking cuz they are so close together as external drives thats all. In a case they have some distance.
