anybody get their new Tank Mouse?

I want to help the Amiga community move forward. I buy, repair, and sell Amigas, mainly because I enjoy it. I'll never make enough money to quit my day job or to make it a profitable side-hustle. I can zen out soldering an A2000 mobo though.

In March of 2022 a Kickstarter project was started for a new Tank Mouse. I ordered 6 of them. Since then there have been numerous reasons for more charges - we need more money for this, that, adapters, etc. The project shipped late, of course, they always do. Sadly they shipped the same month I moved offices. Even though forwarding information was provided the package was returned to Poland. Now it's been endless emails to to Lukas. I have no idea if he's re-shipped them. He has asked for more money for shipping, that was nice. That was processed by Paypal as a cash advance, which I don't understand why, so that's another extra charges. It seems like I get nothing but excuses and money requests. That's if he replies.

There is now a http://tank-mouse.com/ website. It says you can buy them from sordan.ie. I've ordered from Sordan before but I'd be hesitant to order a Tank Mouse from them unless they verify they have it in stock and Lukas is not involved in the shipping or management of the order.

I can't imagine contributing to another Kickstarter/GoFundMe Amiga project. It's just a waste of time and money.

How about you? Did you ever get your mouse/mice? After 18 months and a couple hundred dollars I'm feeling rooked.

But then... I wanted another one (this time in black). So I found out that sordan.ie became the exclusive distributor. And that they don't ship to Brazil, deliberately.

I missed the kickstarter but ordered one from Sordan as soon as they had them. No issues.

I have two from the kickstarter but i have not used them so far. I find them large and i prefer the tank mouse from the A500 Mini.

Are the ones from the kickstarter larger than the original tanks?

No i think they are similar, with same noisy clicks, but lighter.
I am not acustomed anymore to something so bulky and i lack desk space. That's why i prefer the one of the A500 Mini which is, i would say, 75% the size, with gentle clicks.

I got mine from a fellow Dutchman on here who had ordered it at Sordan's a few months ago. No issues whatsoever and a well designed product that lives up to my expectations.

I ordered mine from Sordan on eBay and it shipped from Ireland where he is based, you could message him on eBay, or from his web store to absolutely make sure.

He's not accepting messages on eBay. I'm not sure if that's because he is currently away, but I'm pretty sure I have tried to send him a message in the past and messages were turned off.

Yes it runs perfect on the CD32, just stick the dongle into port 2 and you are away.

Hello, received the 2 ones from the Kickstarter. No problem with them using on Amiga or PC. No problem also using sordan.ie for other stuff

Those who received theirs must have been lucky. Received mine in black a few months ago. Nothing but issues with the scrolling. Thing has a mind of its own. On the Amiga it’s just trouble. On a Windows PC even more issues with it.
Iv’e been advised to open it up and check the cable. Haven’t got around to it yet…..
