Anyone ever see an A1000 keyboard like this?

So, I ended up winning another A1000 keyboard to go with my other A1000. This keyboard is different from any that I've seen. First there is no badge in the top right. There are also commodore keys instead of amiga keys, and the case has a different design around the edges. Is this some sort of newer keyboard? Or is it some sort of franken keyboard that was pieced together from other parts?

Can't say I'd have seen one quite like that before. The surface damage in the second picture kind of looks like it would have been painted over. I'm not sure if I'm seeing it right, but there seems to be some kind of shadow or bump where the tick logo should be... could it have been removed and filled in if it is indeed painted?

Those Commodore keys also look funny - some early A500s for example did have a Commodore key, but the symbol would have been in the corner of the key and not in the centre like that. Could those symbols be stickers or some other kind of DIY job if you look closely?

What kind of markings are there on the bottom side? Also, I came across this, so perhaps there have been other third party keyboards made:

Well it does seem to be painted and there is that bump. Keys seem off. They aren't like my other A1000 keyboard. I may just pull a cap and see.

Yup. It has switches and springs like an A500 keyboard. But it's in the form factor of an A1000 keyboard. No markings on the bottom. I'll open it up and take a look tomorrow.

Looks like the keyboards supplied with the pre production units sent to developers etc

Btw, if you open it up make sure you put the shorter screw of the 4 in the right place as looks like someone didn't do before looking at the puncture mark on the top of the casing.

Interesting. Got any more info on the dev units? I noticed the bump from the screw too :(. Keys are super mushy. It definitely feels like a prototype of some sort.

If you search in Google for a1000 prototype you will find a thread which was on a forum (amiga.org?) they aren't actually prototypes but pre production versions sent to software devs etc.
