Hi,
I have a few Sega Game gears that need repair. They all suffer from no audio and the screen is really dark and fuzzy looking. I believe that the caps need replacing??? Is there anyone here that lives in Melbourne that can do the repair??

I'm in Adelaide, but I'm more than capable of doing the repairs ;)
How many Game Gears do you have that need fixing? do all display the same issues?

A lot of people don't seem to replace the capacitors on the power supply board, but I've always found them to be bad too, even though they don't effect the functionality, I still replace them ;)

I have 2. They both have no sound and the screen is very dark and fuzzy. As of late, the power now flicks on and off for a few minutes, before it stays on constantly when i power them on for the first time.

I'm happy to recap them for you, for a reasonable price ;)
If you're interested, figure out what size box they'll both fit in to see what postage will cost, and we'll go from there.

Hey mate,
I am in Melbourne and have repaired a few GG's.
I live in Point Cook.

PM me if interested.

Just want to say a big thank you to AmmoJammo for recapping my Sega Game Gears. They are now working like they did the day i got them many many years ago. I recently bought another Game Gear which i will be sending your way again for recapping.
Cheers
