Recommended stores from Raspberry are all out of stock.
Chinese clones and the evil-bay are selling at ludicrous prices...

Thanks,

JJS

I got mine from Pi Hut when it first came out (zero 2 W) looks like they sold out there too. You could sign up for an email when they come back into stock

Original Pi's are sold out in retail stores everywhere

When Covid hit, the chip factories were immediately closed causing the worldwide shortage. Even now, they are still far behind making the CPU's and getting stocks back up to manageable levels Probably the reason why the Pico was released - plenty of the microprocessors were already made and readily available.

Just seen the prices on fleabay o_O

My Dear old mum lives in Cambridge I got her to go into the official Pi Store a few weeks back, they have everything in stock at the RRP. They seem to be the only place to get one at the moment.

Thanks for the tip (y) I have a friend who lives in Cambridge, I'll ask him to have a look.

I managed to get 1 used old version from the evil-bay at a semi-decent price.
I also managed to get a friend in Cambridge to get me one from the Raspberry Pi store for the official set price (£9.50), but they don't sell more than one per person.

Info from Berrybase:
We currently have about 800 pieces of this board in stock.
However, these are reserved exclusively for industrial customers with ongoing productions / projects, there will be no new batches for 2022.

If required, please ask our customer service for an offer including a project description.
We ask end customers to use article RPIZ13-ESKIT.

Thanks to all for the suggestions, contributions to the discussion and offers.

Having secured 2 used on the evil bay and a new one from Raspberry store in Cambridge, I'm all good now.

Cheers,

JJS
