Hi. I'm going to sell my Apollo 1260 that I bought from mjnurney some time ago.
It's a very good card. I had to add a clock battery and I replaced oscillator.

I will add more info later on, but it's the first time I'm selling anything here so please forgive me for any mistakes/misunderstandings.

AFAIK the card was upgraded and it was apollo 1240 before (I might be wrong) but actually it's full 68060 in a socket clocked 66 MHz (I'll include original 50 MHz oscillator) and with 32MB (there's just 1 RAM socket at the moment). There's a coin battery used for the clock (easy replaceable).

The price is : £280 + P&P (around £5, let's say up to £5 - I'll find that later on) paypal gift option, the buyer pay the fees

It worked in my A1200 rev. 2B perfectly. I'm going to say my Amiga as well (I'll do it if I find more free time)

The reason for selling is very simple: I like Amiga very much but I haven't been using it for months so I think it's better to return it to the community. On the other hand my philosophy is not to have any attachment to things... life is easier when you don't have any attachments to anything :)

hi,

i'm interested pending pictures and more info;

does it fit into desktop a1200
hows the cooling
pictures would be nice
and some sysinfo screencap/photo!

.. and hows the p&p to Finland with tracked post?

cooling is very efficient with such a big cooler and the fan does good work as well. the cooling is more than enough for that config.
It won't fit into standard A1200 desktop case. It's possible to fit Appollo card into desktop with some limitations (no cooler or fan, I had my Amiga in the DVD player case, after some adjustments of course)

Ah, damnit, i'll have to withdraw my interest then. I have a standard desktop.

It is possible to fit an apollo 1260 to a desktop case, i've seen it done and even with small, flat coolers =) Good luck with sales!

Yes and temp's one can fit, just need to remove the heat sink and fan and use a high speed laptop fan stuck straight to the CPU. The easiest option if you don't want to do any soldering is to power the fan via the floppy drive power cable. You can pickup a splitter from Amigakit :-)

yes, you can remove the heat sink. I like good cooling and because of that I removed my amiga from a standard case and put it into a dvd player one.

OK. I thought it's SOLD when money has been sent and the item's been received, but I've just been at the post office so it'll take a few days...

forgot to answer this thread, item received & it presumably works. thanks =)

To test/use the card you will need some files (new libraries for example). If you need them just let me know.
