There are many reasons why one would want to use a PS/2 keyboard with their Apple II; Smaller, easier to type, more comfortable, broken/stuck keys, num pad. Well my reason is that the Apple II is too large to set on top of my desk and because I am missing keys...
I had planned on programming an adapter myself, but found a preexisting model with a smaller PIC than I had originally thought to use!

Cheap and easy to build, I drew up the Schematic in eagle and came up with the attached photo. It is TINY! I can have this panelized and print them by the boatload but I only need one. Is anyone else interested in a blank board?
I am also redesigning an SD-adapter for the Apple II, so these will be available shortly as well. Can anyone see any changes that I should make to the board? Suggestions, concerns?
My concern is that Sebastian's design was intended for use on an Apple 'without' an original keyboard. If I plan on having both connected, will I need some diodes or extra capacitors to protect the PIC chip from key presses on the original Apple keyboard? Let me know what you think!
This is an early board layout, but I plan on moving the PS/2 connector if needed. I don't want this to make contact with any other IC's on the main-board. I also need a better pinout of the Apple II keyboard connector. Which way will the PS/2 connector end up pointing?
