Are there any old computing/gaming magazines that you miss?

Digitiser! on Teletext was brilliant. I used to read it daily. Great source of information. Same for the F1 pages. It was a shame when it closed down, although with the internet it really was very dated.

Being a kid during the heyday of the print mags, and owning nothing but Amigas up until around the mid 90s, magazine purchases were an irregular occurrence.

There are only 3 that I really miss.

Amiga Format
- Purchased irregularly from 1992, we subbed to this from about 1993 when it was 500+ pages and 2/3 coverdisks through to nearly the end when it was 1/5th the size and cover CD only.
By that time the Amiga market was dead due to the inertia of Amiga Technologies and the content reflected this. Miss the '92-'96 era most of all.

Amiga Power - My cousin used to get AP regularly for a while, and I would get to read them whenever I went round to my aunt's house. Always loved the no-nonsense approach to reviews and the irreverent humour.

Digitizer - It may have been smaller than the print competition, but as long as you could get a decent Channel 4 analogue signal, a free multi-platform console/computer mag with quality guest columns and hilarious ****-takes was yours to enjoy!
Wasn't quite the same towards the end when most of the longtime contributors left, but the late 90s-early 00s period was a great reason to hit the "text" button! Keep away from Mr. T's bins!

CU Amiga for your monthly 'dose' of Vampyra! :smdevil: :inlove:

Amiga Power and Amiga Action - I used to like the Boggits Domain :D

Also Ace was good for general overview and Mean Machines when i got my megadrive aswell.

In terms of the Amiga mags they were at their best 1990-1993. Things started going downhill in 94-95 alongside Commodores demise.

Can anyone remember the prolific letter writer Stuart N Hardy, what a pain in the neck he was

i remember when i 1st got a nes, nintendo would send out a magazine every week or month (probably monthly) then they stopped sending them.
i used to really enjoy those and look forward to getting them, they probably just added a subscription fee or something and i never paid but for some reason they just stopped coming.

-=edit=-
so i went to look..
and it seems that there were only ever 7.. (explains why they stopped)

i know for sure i had the 1st 2, (you just dont forget those covers) but i cant say i definatly had them all. if i did i should have kept them because the BIN price on that lot would be enough to fund a reasonable pc upgrade for my gaming rig.
