ive an original beige atari 800
plugging a cart in the other day the display has stopped outputing anything. Its likely I plugged it in with the power on (had the lid up with the lockout bypassed while testing something else)...now worried I've knackered it..
at first it seemed to display a torn /out of sync 'white' display only, though a font was discernable it was rolling horizontally, torn and unreadable
now a day later it displays nothing from the A/V port.
over rf, there is a carrier, ie there's a solid black background produced when the 800 is switched on.
are there any atari 800 fixing experts out there please!!! cheers in advance... I have to get my beloved 800 working again!
