As you may or may not know I have a bunch of C64s in my possession, which I intend to clean up and hopefully return to a working state.

Most of the cases are pretty grubby and a horrible yellowy brown colour.

I'm sorted for solving the UV-related discolouration but what would you recommend I do to get them nice and clean, in a way that won't damage the plastic?

A rinse in a dishwasher on a warm cycle (not hot) normally works for me. Failing that a dash of fairy liquid and a soft scouring sponge works wonders :)

Can't beat a good bowl of soapy water and a brush if you ask me (toothbrush for the smaller bits).

just warm water and washing up liquid, dont be scared of giving it a good scrub.

I used Jif/Cif whatever its called now, cream cleaner stuff on my 1200 case before I retrobrighted it.
