I registered because I saw someone asking for help fixing a badly damaged Voodoo 2 card.

It is always sad to see old hardware in poor condition - I am trying to restore old hardware from 8088/86 to Athlon XP.

I repaired a few Voodoo's in the past, including one that was new in the box and RMA'd by its owner when purchased. It then sat in a box for a long time until the shop when bankrupt and the card was offered to me. The defect was quickly identified: a shoddy solder job. None of the bottom pins of the lower TMU-chip were soldered.

This one however is beyond repair. It was offered to me last weekend and was damaged for gold:
