Hello,

I am downsizing my collection and selling a well-maintained and stable Blizzard 1230 IV 68030 + 68882 50Mhz + 16MB + OVP.

Blizzard 1230 IV Product Features
  • Processor: 68030 CPU with MMU (Memory Management Unit) at 50 MHz clock speed, providing an average performance increase of 400-500% over the standard A1200.
  • Optional FPU: An optional 68882 floating point unit (PGA type) running at 50 MHz could be installed.
  • RAM Expansion: One 72-pin standard SIMM socket supporting up to 128 MB of fast RAM (60-70ns).
  • Memory Architecture: Extremely fast memory design ensuring high data throughput into the Fast RAM.
  • Auto-configuration: Automatically auto-configuring memory, compatible with Amiga's Zorro III system.
  • MAPROM Function: Optional mirroring of the Kickstart operating system ROM into the fast memory for additional performance enhancement (can be disabled).
  • DMA Expansion Bus: An edge connector for future compatible expansion cards, such as the optional Blizzard 1230-IV SCSI Kit.
  • SCSI Option (via Kit):With the optional Fast SCSI 2 DMA controller kit, the board's functionality was expanded with:
    • Data transfer rates of up to 7 MB/s asynchronous and 10 MB/s synchronous.
    • An additional 72-pin SIMM socket accepting up to 128 MB of RAM, for a total of up to 256 MB Fast RAM.
    • An external DB25 SCSI connector.
  • Compatibility Switch: The card could be deactivated (fall back to the stock 68EC020 CPU) via a simple keystroke during boot for full software compatibility.
  • Real-Time Clock (RTC): A battery-backed-up real-time clock was integrated as standard.
  • Design: Asynchronous design for full Genlock compatibility.
  • Manufacturing: High-quality manufacturing using modern SMD technology, developed and produced in Germany.
  • OS Support: The hardware (with SCSI kit) is supported by alternative operating systems such as Linux, NetBSD, and OpenBSD.
