Hi peepz,
As I'm cleaning from some stuff that I don't use I found an BCS Alfa Data CD1200 PCMCIA to IDE adapter.
This adapter has an 40pin IDE header in which you can connect a CD-ROM drive in order to use it on your A600/A1200.
I had that on my first A1200 and worked perfectly (I believe only by running IDEFix but I can't remember how I setup that in the past).
(Sorry I don't have any software for this but I'm pretty sure that I only run IDEFix for that, there has been more than 2 years than the last time I used it
)
Also I have an external chassis (+DVD-ROM drive) with an 23pin Disk Drive connector in order for the CD-ROM to get it's power from. The chassis also has a female audio jack in order for someone to use the CD Audio signal through speakers (ofc this jack is mounted internally to the Audio header of the CD/DVD drive by a custom cable included).

The options for this sale are the following:
Personally I wouldn't recommend the third option as most of you may have (or may easily find) a used IDE CD/DVD drive to use, not paying for the extra weight that the DVD-ROM unit has.
Payment can be either via PayPal (buyer pays the fees or Gift) or via Bank Transfer.
