Gutted!

After all the time it has taken me to get my Mediator setup online with a PCI Network card I find out its a waste of time lol!

So I got my Amiga online with MiamiDX and I can browse the net with AWeb & IBrowse, so thats great :)

But when I try to load any WarpOS/Warp3D games whilst the stack is running the whole thing crashes

There goes my plan of Quake 2 over LAN with my other A1200!

Strangely the Desktop A1200 connected via the same TCP/IP stack but using a Netgear Wifi Card off the PCMCIA is working fine, I was able to even connect from Quake 2 to some interenet servers for a short fragging sessions :D

I can only assume the Mediator is where things fall down which is a shame!

So even when you think you have everything working at last, you don't :p

I'd be intersted to hear if anyone else managed to get a Warp3D/WarpOS game online via a Mediator, but I won't hold my breath since this is probably quite a rare acheivement.

Lol, some minor progress. My CWB P96 (OS3.1) setup will let me run a Warp3D app (BlitzQuake 68k) whilst online :D

Maybe this is because its a 68k + Warp3D app and not PPC?

Still cannot connect to the server though... I hosted a dedicated server on the PC but it can't connect to the IP...

But progress all the same :coffee:

I think it's fairly safe to say that you're largely on your own out there with that kit :D

Good luck.

PS - you do realise that you need to plug a network cable in, don't you . (That'd explain why your wireless card works...)

Hey, yeah I kind of knew that would be the case - but thought I'd share the pain with you guys!

Going to try Quake 2 on the WB3.1 setup now as its just finished copying to the CF - wish me luck, oh and I'll check the cable is plugged in ;)

Nope no good as soon as you load the PPC app, in this case Quake 2 the whole system shits its pants
