Closed C128 ROM & SID U34 318019-02 and U5 318012-01 (8580)

Trying to troubleshoot a C128 that all of the sudden will not successfully boot into C128 mode. Boots into C64 mode no problem. C128 mode has borders with random graphics/characters within the borders 99.9% of the time, sometimes a clicking noise is coming from the speakers, sometimes it does display the boot screen but instead of a full "READY" prompt it only has "REY, and sometimes it drops into the machine language monitor. Some have suggested it is bad RAM, but I have also read that it could be a bad ROM chip. Since I have the original ROM set, I need the 02 of the above to see if it is that one. I suppose I could but an entirely new machine but if I can find a known good ROM cheap here I'll start there.

Also looking for a U5 SID... when I was reseating all the chips as a troubleshooting step, I bent a pin and snapped it off. I have it rigged right now with a wire...

I don't have a SID but I do have an original ROMs for the C128 and will sell them for 4$ each.

Just specify the exact part no. you want. Shipping cost is 6$US.
