This i know i'll regret selling, but real life has overcome my needs and wants..
Anyway, this is a rather peculiar item to have in Greece. Got this brand new way back in '86 while serving in the US. It has worked for about a year strictly on cartridges (!) as the Mrs. wouldn't be patient for tapes to load..
It IS temperamental, in the fact that it comes on whenever it feels like !
Which means, after every 5-6 poweron/offs it will eventually light up.
When it first did that, i had it looked at Memox, and they suggested recapping. But that's how i let it till now, always thinking of better days ahead. Once it powers, it is fully functional though, as you can see for yourselves. Together i have 5 cartridges, Donkey Kong, Defender, Pitfall, Star Ranger, and Music composer. Details on the cartridges:
They're NTSC. The Defender cartridge has seen better days, as its plastic caps have split open. Nothing some superglue can't handle though..
I can't stress enough that this is a US-standards NTSC 110V machine, just in case there's Europeans interested. Keep that in mind please.
This means that you'd require a transformer 220-110, and an NTSC capable television. I can prepare a video/audio cable for plugging on to an RCA socket telly, the pics here were taken with a temporary cable.
I tend to believe that if you got a European psu you could use it instead of the American one, dismissing the need for a 110v power. Box is rather tatty, but it's got its pollys..
Pic time:
Had to disable the flash to get a pic of the LED..
110 VAC juice! Wanted to show you voltage requirements..
Comes with its manual. Asking for 80 Euros plus shipping. PayPal gift or added PP fees, or local pickup with cash on hand. This is a bit on the heavy side, weighting aprox. 5 kilos.
Thanks for looking!
