hello all.

here is a quick build of the easy flash cart that ive just done. i can t really test it as my sd2iec is away at zetr0s for repair but ive had fun building it.

it takes about an hour and all the parts come in a kit.

What is EasyFlash?

EasyFlash is a cartridge for the C64 expansion port. In contrast to traditional cartridges, this one can be programmed directly from the C64.

You can easily create various classic computer game cartridges or program collections with it. All what you need to do this is a C64, an EasyFlash, the software available here and an image of the cartridge (*.crt). As these CRT files may be quite large, a large capacity disk drive like the FD-2000 or an sd2iec may be useful. For smaller drives EasySplit can be used to compress and split large cartridge images.

EasyFlash is no replacement for a disk drive or hard disk, you can't write and read files e.g. with SAVE and LOAD. EasyFlash 1 is not a freezer cartridge like the Final Cartridge III or the Retro Replay.

Looking good  Do you know it loads all crt files or not? Including final cartridge, power cartridge etc? Reason I ask my turbo chameleon does not.

Thanks heather - I'll have to snag a version 3 ...

I can't play with mine as my sd2iec is way at the mo

Great stuff!

You have to love these 'do it yourself' kits.

I got the DvIDE as a kit and spent a few hours soldering and
getting it put together and then testing it, great fun and a sense
of satisfaction that YOU did it.
