It's a C64TPC. Hardly used, worked perfectly. Load software onto your PC, connect PC to C64 via the adaptor and the serial lead, the PC acts as a disk drive and then you load your games onto a real C64.

Includes a Maplin UK PSU.

update 3 dec -*was* £25 including registered postage to UK only. Paypal gift please.

****new price/ unit on its own, see below.****

(nb wont load every protected game apparently, but nothing short of a £120 1541U will. No comments needed thanks - this is just an open and common-sense note so the buyer isn't disappointed. Every game that I wanted to play, worked fine!)

price drop.

£7 for the c64 loader on its own plus £3 postage = £10 all in.

useful as a cheap 'alternative' to expensive c64 hardware loaders like the 1541u.

(I needed the psu so thats no longer included - Its a pretty standard PSU so hopefully someone who would like this has already got one and doesnt need to buy it again. hope the price drop then makes this useful to someone)

uk only, paypal gift please

Which PSU this device requires?

It will work on XP/7 (on compatibility mode, of course)?

Really interested on it as I have a C128 (c?) here doing nothing but testing the S-VHS input of my 1084S...

anyone using these or the XE/XM/XA cables should know there is a program to 'unlock' the ports that are protected in XP/NT/2000 and later

UserPort 1.1

http://hem.passagen.se/tomasf/UserPort/

this program 'exposes' the normally protected (since win/nt/2000/xp) ports that you tell it to, and allows the hardware to 'see' each other through the port (for anyone who's been having problems getting them to see each other)

It's 9v, 500ma. Just get the polarity right!

Get the software /read up on it here:

http://www.cancarpet.com/saymantek/c64tpc_en.html

And yes it worked on XP. Not tried it on 7.

Edit: ps I was only going to send it uk, overseas is OK but would at your risk if it doesnt arrive guys. I'd provide proof of posting of course. brazil by royal mail airmail packets is £4.47

hope thats ok. iain

For the benefit of anyone interested in this device:

It does work on XP and Vista (should also work on Win 7).

It works with real serial ports and most USB to serial adapters.

It will not work with a C128.

It will probably work under Win7 in compatibility mode.
