Can I use an A1000 drive with an A1200?

Hey everyone,

I came across a very sad looking A1000 some time back that wasn't working, and am hoping to part it out so that it can help others who have kept better care of their own A1000s.

I want to test if the floppy drive works fine, but am wary of trying to connect it to my only other A1200 in case the pin outs are different and I don't want to short anything.

Does anyone know if I could plug an A1000 drive to my A1200 and test it with a few floppies? I don't want to sell the parts as untested.

itll work.you wont short anything on the floppy cable

what revision is the 1200 motherboard? its not one of the escom ones is it?

It's a 1D.4 rev, non Escom motherboard.
