as in title#sigh#

i cant find a schematic for this or a service manual...

i need to know what these transistors are: (parts now confirmed and listed below)

Q401 2sc1918
Q701 2sc1959
Q702 2sc1959
Q703 2sc1959
Q704 2sc3337
and these resistors...
R436 2.7K
R435 27 ohm
R437 200 ohm
i could guess, but i really dont want to. i worked out what the rest of the parts were but not these at the moment.or at least not the one at Q401...
so if you have a 1084S-D1,and you can look inside and read whats written on these transistors that would be great.

i might give up on this soon to be honest, not having the service manual is a royal pain for me.

thanks in advance.

Maybe this schematic can help you ? PM send .

View attachment 89165

its not that mate, but thanks anyway.but send it if you like..

basically, from what i could see they made some minor adjustments/enhancements to the video circuit in the D1 very minor...its very very similar but not exactly the same as the earlier D model
for instance,if you try to find Q401,you wont find it.
and with that said, they may of changed all the other transistors as well and that bothers me as they are very close to the one i mentioned.
i may tear this down, and trace all the components in the ttl circuit if i dont get any luck...i may be able to work it out from there.
but its way easier just to ask someone who has one to read whats on them to be honest.

EDIT: if i find that the parts are in fact exactly the same,i will report back:) it may be they just changed some part references,i dont know at this time...hence the need to tear it down and trace components leads.

PM me your email address :D

pm incoming...

if it is in fact the service manual or at least a schematic for this monitor ill post it here if there are no objections.
as long as it dont effect any copyright issues.(i wont post links to roms etc, schematics should be fine?)

EDIT:i found the site you was referring to mate before you send a pm,nothing there of interest to me,the two schematics are for the 1084S-P monitor, and i have the full service manual for those.
thanks for looking anyway mate,i appreciate it ...

i have remembered someone who does actually own a 1084S-D1 and i have sent him a message to ask him to look in the area in the locations i have sent him,he is..at the moment away, but when he gets back he says he will pop the back off and tell me whats written on the parts:)
so...i dont mind waiting:)

but...if anyone else has one as well and dont mind popping the back off and reading the parts as well, the more the merrier:)

I saw your post after I sent the PM

lol,its ok dave thanks for trying:)

it turns out there are three resistors as well i cant identify lol....not having much luck to be honest.

there is actually a service manual for this monitor in pal and ntsc flavours as i have just seen a picture of the hard copy for each....

EDIT:make that two resistors,i worked out what one is,lol...ill edit the first post

i have worked out what the transistors are:)

ill update the first post with the info and ill have a close look at the missing resistors later:)

when i have worked out all the parts 100% ill get a bom together at a later date...

parts are now 100% confirmed :)

plus, some others have been changed from visual pictures of a D1.

anyone reading this should NOT compare schematics for the 1084-D to use on the D1,its similar but there is a big enough percentage of parts that are different or added to make life hard for anyone repairing or adding functions to it.
ill put the parts list for this when im better so anyone who reads understands how close i was to working this out, hence the need to identify this handful of components.:)

i did get help from a nice person on eab,who posted close up pictures of his D1 main board.and that was pure awesome of him:) (i was actually right on 5 out of the 8 parts i was guessing about)
cant thank him enough,i really appreciated it:)
