Hi all,

On the web there is a load of PD game collections and software for the cdtv on iso , .cue ,.bin files ...

How do I burn them so the A570 reads the disk?

I've had two goes , iso 9660 (?) and rockridge (2) niether worked. Also no Amiga CDs work in the A570 , now is that because they are burnt on my Mac ? The A4000 liked them but the A570 does not.

Amiga format CDs and such dont work.

Thank guys :-)

Could I boot from a workbench cd? Just a thought..

Bin+Cue files should be burnt as RAW surely?

My A570's laser was very picky about what flavour CD-R discs it would read. Taiyo Yuden were the only ones it would read reliably. Burned at media speed or close to it.

Early Amiga Format / CU Amiga cover CD's worked fine in my A570 connected to an A500+ with KS2.04. They booted straight to workbench 2.x

Usually with AF CDs I've just hit the burn button and out it pops ant in to the a4000 but the a570 isn't keen - red screen.

I've run out of cd's so I'll pop in to Tescos on the way home and have another go..

If you need Taiyo Yuden discs I could probably post you a few. Otherwise you can always get them (in 100s) here :

Of course all my AF / CU discs I used with my A570 were originals

Yeah I think that's the problem , originals probably work fine . I'm out of CDs anyway so I should buy some.

How come the cdtv games have a data file and audio file - I popped my simcity disc in the Mac. The game is 3mb and audio 235mb or so lol

I used to get all my CDs from svp years ago :-)

Thanks for the link

That's because the disc you mention is probably CD-ROM XA Mode 2, as this allows for data and audio tracks.

You may get better results writing CDs with a program such as CDRWin or Discjuggler.

The images I have are iso, wav , cue some have iso, wav, cue, bin

I suppose slow burning speed and set as raw?

I didn't notice what the AF disks were.

They are CD-ROM XA Mode 2 files. Load the CUE file into Nero or another burning program and burn as raw data. The burning program should do the rest.

Don't burn the ISO separately, as it most likely won't work.

Thanks guys...

burning the .cue files with Liquid burn on the mac and on TDK 700mb CD-R

and it seems to work just fine :-)

thank you
